About the Bible:
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible word of God. It is our
supreme source of truth. (2 Timothy 1:13 & 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21;
Psalm 119:105, 160 & 12:6; Proverbs 30:5)
About God:
God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed
in three personalities: Father, Son & Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27
& 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19;
2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)
About Jesus Christ:
Jesus is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a
perfect life, died on a cross as a sacrifice for our sin, and rose from
the dead to be with our Lord. He sits at the right hand of God and will
return someday. (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Acts
1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Hebrews 4:14-15 & 10:10-14;
1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13)
About the Holy Spirit:
The Spirit is equal with the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit makes men
aware of their need for Christ. He guides the believer and gives him power
for living. (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13 & 14:16-17; Acts 1:8;
1 Corinthians 2:12 & 3:16; Ephesians 1:13 & 5:18; Galatians 5:25)
About Man:
Man is made in God's image, but has been marred by sin, which separates
him from
God. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah
53:6a & 59:1-2; Romans 3:23)
About Salvation:
Salvation is a gift God gives to man. It is a free gift; it cannot be
earned. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Christ by faith. (Romans
6:23 & 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12-13 & 14:6; Titus 3:5; Galatians
3:26)
About Eternity:
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist in Heaven with
God or separated from Him in a place called Hell. (John 3:16;
1 John 2:25 & 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:5)
About Eternal Security:
Because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer
is secure in that salvation for eternity. (John 10:28-29; 2 Timothy 1:12;
Hebrews 7:25, 10:10 & 14;
1 Peter 1:3-5)
About Baptism:
Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. Biblical baptism takes
place after conversion, by immersion, as an act of obedience. (Matthew
3:13-17 & 28:19-20; Acts 16:16-34 & 2:38-41)
About the Christian
Walk:
The Christian life should be a life of holiness. Such a life cannot be
lived out through a person's own efforts, but rather as a
by-product of the Holy Spirit's presence.
(1 Thessalonians 4:3-7; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Galatians 3:3; Romans 6:22)
